Mark Hamilton is a Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on social influence, including marketing, persuasion, language effects, chronemics, and culture. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University (1987). His work bridges academic research and industry collaboration, with expertise in methodologies like meta-analysis and causal modeling.
Teaching includes courses such as Marketing Communication (COMM 4130), Advanced Persuasion (COMM 4100), and International Communication and Conflict (COMM 4430). He leads the Scalable Marketing Communication (SMC) Lab and collaborates in the Digital Gamesmith Laboratory, developing statistical software and simulations. He maintains an affiliation with Chulalongkorn University’s Nitade International Program in Bangkok, Thailand.
