Dr. Mark Hailwood is an Associate Professor in Early Modern History at the University of Bristol's Department of History (Historical Studies). A first-generation academic from a working-class background, he specializes in social history of England between 1500-1750, focusing on the intersection of historical change with everyday lives of ordinary people.
