Dr. Graves examines how theological anthropology and moral psychology can inform AI development, particularly for healthcare applications. His current projects focus on computational approaches to moral decision-making and virtue ethics in sociotechnical systems.
He co-founded the ethical approach 'Microethics for Healthcare Data Science' which emphasizes capability-focused design. As Research Director at AI and Faith, he facilitates dialogue between religious traditions and AI ethics communities.
