Mark Gaus is a Professor of Kinesiology and Interim Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at Houston Christian University. He also serves as Co-Program Coordinator for the Kinesiology-Sport Management (BA and MS) and as a Content Expert for the BS in Kinesiology with EC-12 Physical Education Teacher Certification.
His educational background includes:
- EdD in Physical Education from the University of Houston
- MS in Kinesiology from Lamar University
- BS in Kinesiology from Lamar University
Dr. Gaus's research and teaching interests span multiple areas of kinesiology, including wellness lifestyle creation, motor learning and behavior, sport sociology, coaching strategies, and fitness activities. His expertise in sport management and physical education teacher certification programs contributes significantly to the department's academic offerings.
