Mark J. Kasper, Ed.D., is a Professor and Program Director of the B.S. Exercise Physiology program at the School of Health Sciences, Valdosta State University. He serves as Interim Associate Dean and has dedicated his career to clinical exercise physiology, physical activity promotion, and health outcomes.
- Education: BS, MS (Eastern Illinois University), MS, Ed.D. (Teachers College, Columbia University)
His research focuses on Exercise Testing, Exercise Training, and Exercise is Medicine, emphasizing the role of physical activity in improving health. He has extensively studied Endurance Performance, Validity of Fitness Tests, and Physical Activity and Health Outcomes.
Dr. Kasper has received honors for his contributions to clinical exercise science, including leadership roles in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has mentored future practitioners and contributed to textbook reviews and accreditation efforts.
