Dr. Mark E.S. Bailey is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Molecular Biosciences, University of Glasgow, with a focus on human genetics and molecular genetics. His work spans Mendelian and complex disorders, including psychiatric conditions, metabolic diseases, and neurogenetic syndromes like Rett syndrome. He actively collaborates in biobank-scale studies and gene therapy research.
His research interests include mapping disease genes, molecular pathology, gene therapy, and the interplay between genetic variation and traits such as mood instability, obesity, and circadian rhythms.
