Mark Durand serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Management at Colorado State University's College of Business. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he instructs courses in Business Management, Advanced Supply Chain, Strategy, and International Business across Executive MBA, MBA, and Undergraduate Business programs.
Durand brings more than 30 years of international business experience to his academic role, having worked across North America, Western Europe, the Middle East, West/Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. His expertise spans product launch campaigns, market intelligence/research, partner due diligence, complex operations and supply chains, optimization, and sales management. He specializes in strategic business development, business structures including joint ventures, and technology implementation and commercialization.
Durand holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering / Alternative Energy from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird. Beyond his academic responsibilities, he serves on various local non-profit Boards, leveraging his extensive global business experience to support community organizations.
His teaching approach integrates practical international business experience with academic theory, particularly valuable for students pursuing careers in global business environments. Durand's background in establishing and managing new ventures across diverse cultural contexts provides unique insights into the complexities of international business operations.
