Erick Mueller serves as an Adjunct Professor and Executive Director of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, where he contributes his extensive entrepreneurial experience to academic programs within the Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Operations department.
Professor Mueller earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Eastern Michigan University and completed his MBA magna cum laude at the University of Colorado Boulder. His international academic engagement includes serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
His teaching and research interests focus on practical entrepreneurship, venture development, and social impact. Mueller leads the annual Global Seminar 'Entrepreneurship & Empowerment in South Africa,' working directly with disadvantaged businesses in Townships, and actively supports the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program to help disabled military veterans launch businesses. His approach uniquely bridges academic theory with real-world business experience.

As Executive Director of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, Mueller develops programs connecting student entrepreneurs with industry resources and mentorship opportunities. His documentary 'The Tour de Happiness' explores the psychological dimensions of business success. He maintains active industry engagement as Chairman and co-founder of Funovation, which operates over 500 locations across 31 countries, demonstrating how academic insights can drive practical business innovation.
