Mark Doepel

Mark Doepel is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of Notre Dame Australia. He is a partner at Sparke Helmore, a leading Australian insurance law firm recognized as Insurance Specialist Firm of the Year in 2013. With 23 years of expertise in professional indemnity litigation, reinsurance practice, and clinical negligence, he is a prominent figure in insurance law. His education includes a BA (Honours), LLB, LLM, and a Master of Philosophy in Law and Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.

Teaching focuses on Insurance Law, Professional Indemnity, Contracts, and Torts. He develops national courses like the ANZIIF Understanding Professional Indemnity Insurance and masterclasses on Advanced Claims Management.
