Mark C Hodge

Dr. Mark C Hodge is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida's College of the Arts, School of Art + Art History, where he also supervises the University Gallery's undergraduate internship program. He earned his Ph.D. in Art History with Curatorial Studies certification from UF in 2021.

His research examines Late Antique and Early Medieval European art, particularly the reception and perception of Roman artifacts in later historical periods. His dissertation analyzed blank portraiture on 3rd-4th century Roman sarcophagi, linking these to broader trends in Roman funerary art and material culture.
