Mark Burde is a Lecturer in French at the University of Michigan's Residential College East Quad. He holds a B.A. in History from Yale University and a Ph.D. in French Literature (medieval specialization) from Washington University in St. Louis. His academic work focuses on medieval literature and culture, particularly parody and satire, alongside translation projects converting Old French verse into English verse.
