Mark Baker is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, MN (Mental Health Nursing) from Queensland University of Technology, PGCEd from University College London, PGD in Health Service Management from University of Manchester, and BN from Griffith University.
His research focuses on rehabilitation nursing, mental health care integration, gender dynamics in nursing, and qualitative methodologies. Primary interests include rehabilitation practice innovations, mental health-physical care intersections, nursing workforce development, and student engagement strategies.
Research publications demonstrate strong focus on rehabilitation nursing practice, gender studies in healthcare, and clinical education methods. Recent works explore diversity in nursing education, grounded theory applications, and COVID-19 pedagogical adaptations.
