Mark A Febbraio

Professor Mark A Febbraio is a Senior Principal Research Fellow at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University, Australia. He heads the Cellular and Molecular Metabolism Laboratory within the Drug Discovery Program. His research focuses on exercise physiology, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cancer, with a goal to develop novel pharmaceutical therapies for lifestyle-related diseases. He also serves as CSO of N-Gene Research Laboratories (USA) and founder/CSO of Kinomedica.

His work spans cellular metabolism, drug discovery targeting metabolic pathways, and mechanisms linking exercise to healthspan extension. Key areas include:
