معرفی
Marjan Senegačnik is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Enterprise Engineering, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor, where he has maintained continuous employment since 1996. His academic foundation stems from the University of Ljubljana, where he completed all degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
His educational journey includes:
- Undergraduate degree (1986) with thesis in biochemistry
- Master's degree (1990) in biophysical chemistry
- PhD (1997) focused on cholesterol interactions in aprotic solvents
Research spans environmental protection, physical chemistry of solutions, and biophysical chemistry, recently applied to carbon footprint reduction in Slovenian healthcare. His work demonstrates a unique interdisciplinary trajectory from laboratory chemistry to enterprise engineering systems analysis. Current projects address sustainability challenges through chemical-organizational integration, reflecting his dual expertise.
Professional experience shows progression from University of Ljubljana (1986-1990) to Jožef Stefan Institute (1990-1993), culminating in his 28-year tenure at Maribor. He maintains active research in environmental chemistry applications while teaching enterprise engineering, with office hours held weekly.
