Tomaž Kern serves as Full Professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor, where he has maintained continuous full-time employment since 1990. His current leadership roles include Head of the Business Systems Engineering programme and Director of the Laboratory of Enterprise Engineering (LIPPS), while also contributing to university governance as Senate member.

Professor Kern's research establishes critical connections between Business Process Management, Digital Transformation, and Multi-Project Management methodologies.
