Mariusz Mróz

Prof. Dr. hab. Mariusz Mróz serves as a Professor and Conductor of the Academic Choir at the Gdańsk University of Technology while leading the orchestra of the Secondary Music School in Gdańsk. His international career spans performances across 15+ countries including Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Netherlands, Hungary, and Macedonia.

His primary research and artistic focus centers on Orthodox Church music, Baroque music, contemporary compositions, and music sociology. He has conducted major oratorios by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Kilar, Szymanowski, Orff, and Nowowiejski, preparing over 110 oratorio concerts (65 personally conducted) for the Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology.

Prof. Mróz has participated in 54 choral competitions/festivals (32 domestic, 22 international), earning 55 awards including 3 Grand Prix, 3 Best Conductor awards, 11 first places, and 13 gold diplomas.

As an active juror at international competitions like St. Petersburg's "RAINBOW" Festival and author of Orthodox Church music publications, he bridges academic research with performance practice.
