Marit Gundersen Engeset

Marit Gundersen Engeset serves as Professor of Marketing at the Department of Industrial Economics, Strategy and Political Science within the USN Business School, University of Southeast Norway. Holding a PhD from the Norwegian School of Economics, she directs research on consumer behavior with emphasis on creativity, sustainability transitions, and customer experience design across multiple funded projects.

Professor Engeset investigates psychological barriers to behavioral change, sustainable consumption patterns, and marketing influence mechanisms. Her work bridges creativity theory with practical applications in environmental behavior modification and service design, examining how consumers navigate intention-action gaps in sustainability contexts.

As academic lead for Consumer Behavior and Experimental Design in USN's PhD Management program and Deputy Head of the "Energy, Climate and Environment" Strategic Research Area, she directs Eurostar-funded projects like "Capture" with Cycled Technologies and AI Superior, plus Research Council of Norway initiatives including "Innovativ Festivalpakkettering". Her grant portfolio spans tourism monitoring systems, customer value measurement, and regional innovation partnerships.
