Marion Marlow is a Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in Theatre, Voice, Communication, and English Literature. Since joining in 1991, she has held roles including Associate Director of the Professional Development Unit and Acting Head of Department. Her research focuses on communication, movement analysis, and site-specific theatre performances, exploring how non-traditional spaces influence artistic and collaborative practices.
Education: Bachelor of Arts from the University of Glasgow (1985). Current responsibilities include coordinating English Studies Graduate Teaching Assistants and leading the MUSE (Models of University and Schools Engagement) project on drugs and the brain. She has contributed to interdisciplinary projects such as 'New Engineering Design Processes through Constructs of Humour' (EPSRC-funded, 2015–2017) and 'Drugs and the Brain: MUSE' (2013–2016).
Research interests span verbal/non-verbal communication, space analysis, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with fields like product design and science. Her Ph.D. investigates transformative impacts of site-specific theatre spaces on performers and audiences. She actively engages in public outreach through initiatives like NCCPE workshops.
