معرفی
Dr. Marion Herrmann is a Researcher at the Chair of Hydrogen and Nuclear Energy, part of the Institute of Process Engineering and Enviromental Technology at Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden). Since 2005, she has served as a Research Associate and currently leads the research area "Innovative Laser Technologies." Her work focuses on laser-based joining of ceramics, glass-ceramic solders, and high-temperature materials for nuclear and energy applications.
Dr. Herrmann's research spans laser brazing, ceramic joining, and nuclear decommissioning technologies, with a strong emphasis on accident-tolerant energy systems through the joint project IL TROVATORE. Her publications highlight collaborations on SiC components, hydrothermal sensors, and decontamination methods using Nd:YAG lasers.
Her recent articles explore fracture path control in ceramic joints, finite-element modeling for stress reduction, and active brazing for energy devices. These works reflect her expertise in laser processing, high-temperature stability, and environmental safety protocols.
Dr. Herrmann collaborates on interdisciplinary projects like LASABA, focusing on byproduct conditioning during laser decontamination. She contributes to nuclear safety standards and sensor development, working with teams across Europe in conferences such as ICOND, EUROMAT, and ICONE.
