Professor Marion Brandt serves as Director of the Institute of German Philology at the University of Gdańsk's Faculty of Languages. With academic affiliations at the university since 2000 and receiving her professorship title in 2021, she has established herself as a leading scholar in Polish-German literary relations. Her scholarly trajectory began with studies in history, German philology, and pedagogy at the University of Warsaw and Humboldt University in Berlin (1990), followed by a PhD from Humboldt University (2002), habilitation from Humboldt University (2002), and later habilitation from the University of Gdańsk (2005).
