Mario Weise is an academic and artist associated with the Faculty of Art and Design at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. He holds a background in media design studies and has served as a tutor and research assistant at the Professur Experimentelles Radio during his studies. His professional career includes artistic collaborations with institutions like the Jewish Museum Berlin and Schedhalle Zürich, alongside producing radio projects and supervising student productions.
Active since the early 1990s as a DJ in electronic and jazz music, Weise has released multiple EPs, remixes, and albums, including 'In The Backroom' (2021). Currently, he combines academic teaching at the 'Deutsche Pop' academy with music production roles, including collaborations with pianist Martin Kohlstedt (album 'Strom' and a cinematic soundtrack) and the Gewandhauschor Leipzig for Warner Music.
