Marinus L. Otte

Marinus L. Otte serves as a Professor at North Dakota State University, holding an M.S. (1986) and Ph.D. (1991) from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His academic career centers on wetland ecosystem research through the Wet Ecosystem Research Group (WERG).

His research spans wetlands ecology, ecotoxicology, ecophysiology, and biogeochemistry, with emphasis on environmental processes in saturated soil systems. This interdisciplinary work examines chemical-biological interactions in wetland habitats and their responses to anthropogenic stressors.
