Marina Pingler is an Assistant Professor at the American Studies Department of the University of Tübingen, focusing on climate imaginaries in American literature and culture. Her work intersects environmental criticism, speculative fiction, and Indigenous studies, particularly examining marginalized climate futures between 2016 and 2023. She holds a Master of Arts in English and History from the University of Tübingen and SUNY Stony Brook, following her 2020 state examination.
- Research Focus: Climate fiction (Cli-Fi), Indigenous futurisms, Anthropocene critique, speculative fiction, and 19th-century American literature.
- Projects: PhD thesis on "Re-Imagining Climate Futures: Alternative Imaginaries in American Literature and Culture"; former Grant Manager for EU COST Action COMPACT on conspiracy theories.
