Marilyn Waligore is a Professor in the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas, with a joint appointment in the School of Art, Technology, and Emerging Communication. She holds an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin Madison (1985) and dual B.A. degrees in English and Art from the University of California, Berkeley (1981). Her research focuses on digital media, photography, and feminist art, with a particular interest in photomontage, activism, and the intersection of technology and art. Waligore has curated numerous exhibitions, including Legacy of Photomontage: Engineering the Photograph (2023) and Domestic Sight (2002), and has been recognized with awards such as the First Place Award at Artspace 111 (2016) and the North Texas Artist Award (1997).
