Ashley C. Waldvogel is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2001, with prior roles including Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama (2000–01) and Adjunct Professor at Birmingham Southern College (1999–2000). She holds an M.F.A. in Fine Art from Pratt Institute of Art and a B.F.A. in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Her academic work spans art education, photography, and design theory, with exhibitions such as Southern Discomfort II (2014) and Four Squared (2010). She has contributed articles to the National Wildlife Federation and presented at conferences like SECAC and FATE, addressing topics like color theory and creativity in education. Notably, she received the SCAD Presidential Fellowship for Professional Development in 2012.
Waldvogel has served as a panelist, juror, and visiting lecturer, including roles at Utah State University (2000) and panels on mythology in art and color theory. Her career reflects a dedication to foundational art education and interdisciplinary creative practice.
