Marilyn Ahearn is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Southern Cross University (SCU), Gold Coast, Australia. Her work focuses on integrating transdisciplinary approaches with environmental education in primary school settings.

She holds a Master of Education (1996) from Australian Catholic University (ACU) Canberra and a PhD (2018) from SCU. Her doctoral research explored how teaching primary students the scientific origin story of the universe could shape sustainability values, aligning with Australian curriculum outcomes through adaptations of the secondary-based Big History Project.
