Sue Margaret Hudson, an Adjunct Associate Professor at Southern Cross University's Faculty of Education, has lectured since 2000 and held leadership roles at SCU and Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her work bridges academic research and community engagement, focusing on mentoring, rural education, and teacher preparedness.

Her research examines professional experience models, the role of school coordinators, and mentoring frameworks for pre-service teachers in rural and remote areas. She leads the Mentoring for Effective Teaching (MET) program, which has trained over 4,000 teachers globally. Key contributions include refining feedback mechanisms for mentor teachers and developing guidelines for in-school coordinators.
Sue has received a National Citation and a Program Award from the Office of Learning and Teaching for her work on the Teacher Education Done Differently (TEDD) project. She actively supervises HDR students on topics like mentorship, rural teacher readiness, and curriculum design.
