معرفی
Lee-Ann Ewing is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Southern Cross University (SCU). She holds an MEd (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and a BA from the University of South Africa. Prior to academia, she had extensive primary school teaching experience across two countries and four states, including mentoring graduate teachers through their first-year teaching and VIT registration processes. She joined SCU in 2019 after working at Monash University.
Her research focuses on two primary areas: 1) novice teachers' career experiences and factors influencing career choices, and 2) institutional responses to the pandemic, particularly school-home communication during crises and remote learning adaptations. Her work frequently engages with social media discourse analysis and multistakeholder perspectives.
Lee-Ann has contributed to discussions on pandemic education strategies through articles like School-Home Crisis Communication During the First Wave of COVID-19 (2024) and Technology-enabled remote learning during COVID-19 (2021). Her earlier publications (2021) also explored media portrayals of teachers, family influences on educational careers, and Twitter-based public responses to home schooling.
No scientific awards are listed, though her work demonstrates significant engagement with contemporary educational challenges. She currently resides in Lismore, SCU campus, and can be contacted at lee-ann.ewing@scu.edu.au.
