Marilena Antoniadou

Dr. Marilena Antoniadou is a prominent academic in HRM and Business Psychology, affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Currently, she serves as Special Teaching Staff in HRM at UCLan Cyprus and Course Leader for the MBA Distance Learning program. Previously, she held senior roles at MMU, including Director of Education (Associate Dean), Reader, and Senior Lecturer. Her academic expertise spans HRM, organizational behavior, and educational leadership, with a focus on workplace emotions and well-being.

Dr. Antoniadou holds advanced degrees including a PhD in Management (2013) and multiple postgraduate qualifications. Her research explores emotional management in academia, educational leadership, and the psychological impact of work environments. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2019 Emerald Literati Award and multiple teaching excellence distinctions.

Her professional contributions include administrative leadership roles, such as International Lead in MMU’s Department of People and Performance, and active participation in university-wide initiatives on mental health, sustainability, and diversity. She has supervised over 50 Master’s theses and several PhD students, contributing to academic mentorship. Dr. Antoniadou also serves as an external examiner for multiple UK universities and holds editorial roles in prominent journals.
