Dr. Marika Franklin holds roles as a Lecturer at the Sydney School of Health Sciences and a Research Fellow at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Unit within the Sydney Nursing School (University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health). Her work bridges sociology and psychology, focusing on qualitative research to explore individual and structural dimensions of health and wellbeing.
Research interests include person-centred care, chronic illness management, ageing, patient-reported outcomes, and health policy. Current projects address metastatic breast cancer care, loneliness in ageing populations, migrant wellbeing, and patient-reported outcome measures.
