Dr Karine Manera is a Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney, and a member of the Charles Perkins Centre. She holds a PhD (2020) and has received prestigious awards including the Peter Bancroft Prize and NHMRC Investigator Award. Her research focuses on improving patient-centered care in chronic diseases, particularly kidney disease, and emphasizes consumer engagement and social health. She leads global initiatives like the Standardised Outcomes in Nephrology (SONG) and the Patient-Centred Research Network (PACER).
