Mariette Chartier is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She is also a Senior Research Scientist at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and a member of the Global Working Group on Mental Health Promotion. Her work focuses on applied population health science, using administrative data and mixed methodologies to evaluate health outcomes and intervention effectiveness.

Research Interests: Dr. Chartier’s research spans administrative data analysis, mental health promotion, implementation science, and child and adolescent health. She leads evaluations of public health strategies such as the PAX program for First Nations youth and Manitoba’s Towards Flourishing initiative for maternal mental health. Her work emphasizes equity and collaboration with Indigenous communities and regional health authorities.
