Marieke Wyckaert is a Professor at the Faculty of Law and Criminology of KU Leuven, affiliated with the Jan Ronse Institute for Company and Financial Law. She chairs the Research Unit Economic Law and contributes to institutional governance as a member of the Commission on Research Integrity (CRI) and POC Rechten committees.
- Research Focus: Her work spans corporate law, public law, and comparative legal frameworks, examining accountability in state-owned enterprises, non-profit organization regulations, and corporate winding-up processes. She explores intersections between European company law and domestic legal systems.
- Teaching: Delivers courses on Mergers and Acquisitions (HNV03A), European Company Law (C06G0B), and Vennootschapsrecht (C07C3A), emphasizing practical legal applications in business contexts.
- Projects: Currently serves as Promotor for studies on Belgian state-owned enterprise accountability (2023–2029) and non-distribution constraints in non-profits (2018–2024). Previously co-led research on corporate winding-up frameworks (2016–2022).
