Marie Moran is a Professor and key member of the Musicianship Faculty at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), where she has taught since 1986. She specializes in music theory, harmony, counterpoint, and aural training. She has held leadership roles, including Head of the Musicianship Faculty from 2000–2006, 2010–2011, and 2016–2022. She contributed to curriculum development for the BMusPerf Vocal Studies course and collaborated on piano sight-reading textbooks with Jean Archibald.
