Lynsey Callaghan

Dr. Lynsey Callaghan serves as Head of Programmes, Research & Academics at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM). She holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, an MMusPerf (RIAM), and a BMusEd (Trinity College Dublin/DIT). Her work bridges performance, pedagogy, and interdisciplinary research, focusing on medieval musicology, music theory history, and inclusive music education. She leads systemic reforms in Irish music education through initiatives like the Dublin Youth Choir and Cross Border Youth Choirs. In 2020, she participated in the Global Leaders Program, deepening her commitment to social justice and cultural agency in music.
