Her work emphasizes socio-legal challenges faced by marginalized migrants, including digital exclusion during the pandemic and municipal policy responses.
Key academic contributions include studies on sanctuary cities, media representation of migration, and comparative analyses of urban migration policies across Europe and the U.S. She advocates for inclusive practices in essential services for precarious migrants, having published policy recommendations in California Journal of Politics and Policy and Swiss Journal of Sociology.
Awards: Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship (Freie Universität Berlin), EURIAS Fellowship (Casa de Velázquez), MSCA Individual Fellowship (University of Oxford).
Her research bridges sociology, public policy, and urban studies, with a focus on race, ethnicity, and migration’s intersectional impacts. Current projects examine local governance strategies for migrants in Cardiff, Frankfurt, and Vienna.
