Ayse Caglar

Prof. Ayse Caglar is a University Professor in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna's Faculty of Social Sciences. She leads the Europe-Asia Research Platform on Forced Migration and co-leads the Research Platform 'The Challenge of Urban Futures.' Her work focuses on migration, urban restructuring, displacement, and neoliberalization. She holds a PhD from McGill University and a Habilitation from Free University Berlin.
