Marie Löf is a Professor of Nutrition at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, Karolinska Institutet, and leads the IMPACT research group focused on preventing obesity in childhood and pregnancy using mHealth technologies. She is also an Honorary Professor at Deakin University's School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences (2019–2025). Her research spans early-life obesity prevention, digital interventions for maternal and child health, and mHealth applications for self-management of conditions like gestational diabetes.
Dr. Löf holds a PhD in nutritional physiology (2004) and a Master's in nutrition (1997). With over 25 years of teaching experience, she has contributed to nutrition and healthcare programs at multiple universities. Her work integrates global collaborations, including EU-funded projects, and emphasizes translational research to bridge clinical practice and public health.
Her grants include a SEK 4,995,000 FORTE project grant (2024–2029) and Swedish Research Council funding. She supervises PhD students in areas like digital health and pediatric obesity. Key collaborations involve the Centre for Nutrition and the KI eHealth Core Facility, fostering innovation in lifestyle interventions and global health initiatives.
