Marie-Josèphe Vallée is an Associate Professor at the School of Design (École de design) within the Faculty of Urban Planning (Faculté de l'aménagement) at Université de Montréal. She holds a Master's in Architecture (2003) and a Bachelor's in Architecture (1985) from Université de Montréal, alongside a diploma from the École des Beaux-Arts de Lille (1978). Her research focuses on aesthetic theories applied to interior design, exploring intersections between art, architecture, and contemporary culture. Key projects include opera collaborations in augmented reality and installations like 'Histoire Nocturne au Pied-du-Courant' (2007) and 'Ciné-torsion' (2009), the latter earning the Lorenzo Il Magnifico prize.
