Marie Haverly is a Lecturer and Programme Leader for the Event Management Programme at the University of Winchester. Since 2015, she has contributed to teaching and mentoring students in event and project management, combining her academic role with over 19 years of industry experience. Her expertise spans wedding and event planning, business ownership, and entrepreneurship. She has managed venues, run her own successful event planning business, and trained over 600 event planners.
Marie is a monthly contributor to Bride magazine and Love Our Wedding magazine, and her first authored book is forthcoming. Her research interests focus on event industry regulation, code of conduct efficacy, and emerging trends in the sector. As a former judge for the Wedding Industry Awards and tutor at the Blackford Centre, she actively engages with professional development in event management.
