Marie Hansen is the Dean of the College of Business and the New England School of Communications (NESCom) at Husson University, where she has worked since 2003 and served as Dean since 2013. She is a multidisciplinary academic with expertise in business, criminal justice, legal studies, and organizational leadership.

- B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maine
- J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law
- Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School for Professional Psychology
Research Interests include emotional intelligence, leadership, organizational behavior, performance management, and strategic planning. Her work emphasizes experiential learning and continuous personal/professional development.

- Maine gubernatorial appointments to the Board of Trustees at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and as a Dedimus Justice
- Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees and Chair of multiple committees at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology
