Lori Perez is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the Conservation Law Program at the School of Legal Studies, Husson University. She specializes in teaching wildlife and marine law, conservation law enforcement, wildlife trafficking, and criminal justice. Her research focuses on the impact of stress on conservation law enforcement officers, with a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice pending completion in May 2024.
Education: B.S. in Criminal Justice from Westfield State University; M.S. from Central Connecticut State University; Ph.D. (pending) in Criminal Justice from an unspecified institution.
Research interests include legal frameworks for conservation, law enforcement strategies for wildlife protection, and occupational stress mitigation in law enforcement roles. Her practical experience includes federal service with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where she served on the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), acted as an EMT, and participated in disaster relief (e.g., Hurricane Katrina). She holds certifications from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA).
