She leads her research laboratory at the Research Center of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal since 2016, focusing on environmental and biological factors influencing fear/safety memories and psychopathology vulnerability.
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience (Université de Montréal)
- Postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School
Her research explores fear conditioning, stress hormone interactions, and biological sex differences in PTSD/anxiety mechanisms. Key projects examine intergenerational fear transmission, hormonal contraceptive effects, and stress-modulated decision-making.
Recent publications demonstrate her expertise in neuroimaging biomarkers, hormonal influences on cognition, and biopsychosocial pandemic responses. She has secured major grants from CIHR, NSERC, and FRQS, including a Canada Research Chair in 2022.
Scientific recognitions include:
- 2023 Prix Relève scientifique (Gouvernement du Québec)
- 2022 Research Excellence Award (UQAM)
