Marie-Claude Paquette is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on public health nutrition, food environments, sugary drink taxation, and body image. She supervises Master's theses exploring geographic accessibility to food retailers, dietary patterns in obese individuals, and community health interventions. Her work is supported by grants from the Québec Ministry of Health and the Institut national de santé publique du Québec.
Key projects include the Effets de l'implantation d'une coopérative sur l’alimentation et la santé (EffICAS) (2020–2022), investigating how food cooperatives in rural areas improve access to healthy food and community well-being. She also contributed to a study on unintended effects of physical activity promotion messages (2013–2015).
