Marie Andersen Hulthin is a Research Fellow at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), affiliated with the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo. Her work focuses on international gender equality norms, women’s human rights, and intersectional approaches to equality and non-discrimination.
Marie’s research examines the impact of state reporting under the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) on gender equality policies and anti-discrimination law in the Nordic region. She has also contributed to research on artificial intelligence and gender equality in Norwegian studies.
She is a student at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, and has held roles at Kilden (Research Council of Norway), the Women’s Health Commission, and the Department of Political Science at UiO.
Her doctoral work bridges international human rights frameworks with domestic policy development, particularly in Nordic contexts. Marie’s career spans research, gender perspective integration, and commission secretariat work.
