Victoria Skeie is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), University of Oslo, researching policy frameworks addressing forced labour. She holds a master’s degree in human rights from UiO and a philosophy degree from the University of St Andrews. Her work focuses on Norway’s implementation of the ILO Convention on Forced Labour (No. 29) domestically and in supply chains. Previously, she worked at the Council on Ethics for the Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG), analyzing human rights due diligence, particularly labour exploitation cases.
Her academic interests span business and human rights, investors’ roles in ESG compliance, and technology’s dual impact on human rights solutions and challenges. She has contributed to courses like HUMR5131 (Human Rights in History, Philosophy and Politics) and JUS2111 (Public International Law at UiO). Current projects include exploring regulatory frameworks against forced labour and severe labour exploitation.
