Marianne Tare is an Associate Professor and Research Fellow at Monash University's Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. She lectures in Physiology and serves as assessment coordinator for the graduate entry medical program. Her research focuses on vascular regulation mechanisms in health/disease and developmental origins of cardiovascular dysfunction. She leads projects funded by organizations like ARC and NHMRC.
Research interests include developmental origins of health, vascular tone regulation, maternal/child health, and medical education innovation. She chairs the Australian and New Zealand Microcirculation Society and collaborates internationally on cardiovascular development studies.
Recent work explores pandemic impacts on rural medical education and integrates Indigenous memorization techniques into healthcare training. Projects include investigating vasoprotective compounds in gestational diabetes and preterm birth effects on vascular systems.
