معرفی
Anne Monique Nuyt is a Professor at the University of Montreal's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. Her research focuses on the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD), particularly how perinatal stressors like oxidative stress influence long-term cardiovascular and metabolic health. As Canada Research Chair in Prematurity and Developmental Origins of Cardiovascular Health and Diseases, she leads translational studies using murine models and clinical cohorts to explore vascular dysfunction, hypertension, and renal development in preterm individuals.
Her work spans experimental models (altered diets, hyperoxia exposure) and clinical follow-ups of mother-child cohorts. Key projects examine the impact of preterm birth on skeletal muscle development, cardiovascular outcomes, and diabetes risk, funded by CIHR, FRQS, and Heart & Stroke Foundation.
