Marianne Jackson is a Professor of Psychology at California State University, Fresno. She serves as coordinator of the Master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis and clinical director of ABA Services at Fresno State. Her expertise spans behavior analysis, with a focus on complex social skills (humor, perspective-taking, safety), verbal behavior motivation, and health/fitness interventions. Dr. Jackson has secured over $6 million in grants and contracts, and her work extends internationally through collaborations in Scotland, Ireland, Jordan, Bosnia, and Georgia.
- Education: B.A. from University of Strathclyde, Scotland; M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology (Behavior Analysis) from University of Nevada, Reno.
Research interests include autism interventions, verbal behavior analysis, and behavior-based health strategies. Awards include PsiChi’s 2011 Faculty of the Year, 2014 Provost’s Outstanding New Faculty, and 2017 College of Science and Mathematics Distinguished Service Award. She actively contributes to professional organizations like ABAI and CalABA.
Teaching responsibilities include Advanced Learning and Behavior, Research Methods in Behavior Analysis, and Ethics in Professional Practice. Her clinical and educational leadership positions reflect her commitment to applied behavioral science.
