Marianne Dovemark is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Education and Special Education, University of Gothenburg. Her work focuses on critical educational ethnography, examining intersections of school governance, marketization, and power dynamics. She actively contributes to the research environment PAGE (Power and Agency in Education) and the NordForsk-funded Centre of Excellence Justice through Education in the Nordic Countries (2013-2018).
- Current Project: "Inclusive and competitive? Upper secondary schools in the intersection of social inclusion and marketization" (Swedish Research Council-funded)
- Key Themes: Structural factors (class, gender, ethnicity), democracy in education, neoliberalism, and pedagogic identities.
